Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we’re having here at Les Bouleaux. On checking the visitor book we were here for almost the same week (5th to 12th June) in 2004. The house has matured beautifully with age. The garden is so secluded now the laurel hedge has grown up. The new kitchen is wonderful and best of all the cupboards are stuffed to the gunnels with all the things you could possibly want. The pergola is brilliant for shade and dining outside.

Fantastic villa in a fantastic location. Everything you could ask for to enable a quiet and relaxing holiday. Plenty of options for children of all ages, we found the table tennis table and badminton net allowed for hours of fun. Large Supermarket only 5 minutes drive away in Riberac provides all the everyday needs. We would definitely recommend Les Bouleaux.

Had a lovely two weeks in Les Bouleaux. We have been doing villas/gites in France for many years and found this villa to be among the best we ever stayed in. It was very well equipped and Paul and Val had thought of everything to make it a memorable experience, including a well stocked library. Plenty to do and see in the area with two convenient supermarkets nearby and a very good market in Riberac on a Friday. The pool was welcomed on the few hot days we had there. Paul and Val made the process of booking etc easy and were very helpful when needed any information. Would recommend Les Bouleaux highly.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. It was very well equipped, we found everything we needed. There is a lovely covered terrace which was great during warm days and evenings. A local shop nearby provides bread in the morning, but all larger supermarkets are also very nearby. The contact with the owners was very pleasant. They were very flexible regarding the uncertain circumstances due to Covid, and were really helpful. I would recommend this property to friends.

We stayed at Les Bouleaux for the first two weeks in July with two teenagers (16 and 19).
The accommodation was a real home from home and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.
We enjoyed the large enclosed garden and made good use of the private pool as temperatures reached over 30C most days.
It is a very peaceful location for those lazy days by the pool, but there are activities to keep others happy.
The bikes available were great and were useful when travelling to the nearby village for a leisurely lunch about 4km away.
A car is essential for visiting places further afield as the location is quite rural but local supermarkets, restaurants etc are no distance away.
There are many beautiful villages and towns to explore and many markets to wander round, all within an hours drive.
We hired canoes at Tocane-Saint-Apre. where they transported us up river and we enjoyed 4 or 5 hours travelling back on the water with a stop for a picnic and ice cream half way.
Although there were a few weirs to negotiate, most was paddling along open stretches of river.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend it to others.
We have holidayed in France many times and found this gite to be one of the best we’ve used. A good time had by all!
